You will receive four cameras that are comparable to the standard with the addition of a microphone which is not included in all cameras. You also receive a seven inch receiver. This makes direct monitoring more convenient. There is also the option of A/V cable output allowing you to connect the system to a recorder that you purchase separately.

This last system caters to a specific security-minded customer. They are concerned with the safety and security of individuals who are entrusted to others. If the specific design does not fit your need consider at least the recording components, as they are included in some standard security systems.

This particular system has a camera that is integrated into a clock radio. This allows monitoring without the intrusive and noticeable camera shape that is common in standard security systems. This particular system also includes a standard receiver.

You get the computer compatibility that you would expect from such a manufacturer. From Logitech though there are some additional perks. With this system you have the option of viewing the video, recording the video or both. However Logitech offers you the nearly completely pre-configured option of viewing your video through the internet. You can also receive alerts remotely as well. It is far from standard, but the hardware and the software are Logitech quality.

Outdoor 5.8GHz Wireless CCD Color IR Camera, 1/3 inch SONY CCD, 12mm Lens, 420 Lens, 100ft IR, SV580012L

This camera is quite similar to the Swann that was mentioned above, however this Sony camera is a 5.8 gigahertz model. You may note in the title that this one also utilizes infrared light to increase visibility in the dark.

Not every project requires 5.8 GHz though, so you may want to consider the difference in the prices of two comparable camera systems with only a gap in network speed. The difference between these two was nearly half-price for the 2.4GHz one.
